What soft washing is, and why we use it on your home

Soft washing cleans your home's exterior with low pressure and a cleaning solution instead of brute force. The solution is applied to the siding, given time to break down algae, mildew, mold and salt film, then rinsed off gently. Because there is no high-pressure blast, it will not strip paint, force water behind siding, or etch softer materials. That is exactly why it is the right method for vinyl, Hardie board, stucco, tabby, brick and painted wood, and the only method we use on roofs.

Why coastal Georgia homes need it more often

Salt air off the marsh and the ocean settles on siding as a fine film. Add our humidity and the shade from live oaks and that film becomes food for green algae and black mildew, usually on the north side first. How a house wash works
