What a house wash covers

We wash the whole exterior shell, top to bottom, in one visit:

• All siding, from the foundation line up to the roofline
• Soffits, fascia and trim, where mildew likes to hide
• The outside faces of the gutters, where the black streaks show
• Porches, columns, railings and garage doors
• Shutters and window frames

Windows, light fixtures and your landscaping get rinsed as part of the job. Glass that needs a proper clean is a separate service, window cleaning, and we're happy to do both the same day.

How the job runs

We start with a walk-around. Siding material, loose paint, damaged spots, and where the growth is worst, usually the north side and anything under the live oaks. Then we water the beds and grass along the foundation. The cleaning solution goes on from the ground at low pressure, sits long enough to kill the growth, and gets rinsed off from the top down so nothing streaks. The plants get watered again at the end.

Most homes are done in a day, and you'll see the difference before we pull out. Multi-story homes take longer, and we're set up for them. We added a second truck in late 2023, which doubled how much work we can take on.

When to book

Most Brunswick homes look their best on a one-to-two-year wash, sooner if they're shaded or on the water. Spring is the popular time, right after the oak pollen drops and before the summer humidity sets in. It fills fast. In late March 2025 we were already telling people April was nearly full and May wouldn't be far behind. If you want a spring wash, call early.

Since at least 2022 we've offered our Sea Island clients a standing house wash and window cleaning schedule, so the salt film never gets a head start. The island's stucco and tile homes have their own page: house washing on Sea Island. If you run a rental, we'll try to fit the wash between guests.

What the price depends on

Size, height, siding material, how heavy the growth is, and how easy the house is to reach. We walk through each of those in what changes the price of a house wash. Every quote is free and written before we start.

Do you pressure wash houses?

No. Every house gets a soft wash, meaning low pressure and a cleaning solution. Pressure is for concrete and pavers. Here's how soft washing works and why we use it.

How do I get the house ready?

Not much to do. Move cars, grills and anything fragile away from the walls, and keep pets inside. We wrote a short checklist: how to prepare your home.

Do I need to be home?

No. For exterior work you don't need to be home, as long as the gates are unlocked and pets are put away.

What if I'm not happy with it?

We come back and re-clean it free. No callback fee.
